Like reading the heartfelt words of an unexpected love letter, a spray of this feminine fragrance reveals enchanting depths – not only of the rose itself but of the woman who wears it. Because while the rose is beautiful in its own right, what makes it truly beautiful is that it reflects all the beauty around it, evoking our most cherished memories.

It begins with the glass flacon on your dressing table. Rich burgundy represents velvety petals and the ambery, spicy notes of the floral fragrance held inside, while the verdant green cap alludes to the rich color of the flower's leaves. As the perfume opens with the warmth of saffron, we imagine a peaceful rose garden, bathed in the sun, with the fragrance of an aromatic cedarwood bench lingering as the day goes on – however, you may well assign your own memory. Through its many layers, Just Give Me Roses not only encapsulates the flower in all its glory but also explores what it means to you personally.

Thanks to saffron’s rich, distinctive color and its status as one of the most expensive spices in the world, it's often known as 'red gold'.
The leathery, earthy scent of saffron forms an intriguing and intimate top note to this perfume. Thanks to its rich, distinctive color and its status as one of the most expensive spices in the world, it's often known as 'red gold'. Traces of the precious ingredient have been found in pigments of prehistoric paintings dating back tens of thousands of years. Even Cleopatra used saffron in her baths to give her skin a beautiful hue – what's more, it was present in 'Kypi', the very first perfume known of in history.

The Damask Rose was selected to represent the romantic heart of this fragrance because it's a rose that is celebrated for its fine scent. The petals have sweet notes hinting at honey, cinnamon and citrus. The delicate blooms are harvested in Bulgaria and Turkey before being processed using steam distillation – a method that we can trace back to ancient times. It takes three to five tonnes of feather-light petals to create just 1kg of the precious essential oil.

Which place evokes Just Give Me Roses for you?
The sumptuous Princess Grace Rose Garden in Monaco. It has over 4000 rose bushes, and it's as peaceful as it is beautiful, with sculptures to look at and places to sit and reflect. This is where I realized that no two roses are the same. They are all roses, all beautiful, and yet all so different... like women!
What inspired you to create this scent?
The emotion we feel when we give or receive roses, whether it's a beautiful single flower or a bouquet – I wanted to capture it. I wanted to create something special, a new, rich, emotive and sophisticated way to wear rose. Something that would surprise and delight everyone, from those who always turn to rosy scents, to those who don't usually wear them.
What is your favorite ingredient in the scent?
Well, of course, it has to be the rose. I used the Damask variety from Bulgaria and Turkey. Their different climates and soils create slight variations in the scent. Bulgarian roses have the deepest fragrance, a gently sweet and fruity aroma, while Turkish roses offer a slightly metallic, piquant and peppery facet. By blending them together I have created a velvety rich, yet bright and spicy, effect.
What do the other ingredients bring to the scent?
The climates and cultures of Turkey and Bulgaria have also inspired the scent's other notes: the mystery, the spices, the warmth. I chose saffron as a top note to add a soft, earthy, and suede-like texture that lasts. This harmonizes with the crisp, spicy base note of cedarwood, which has a warmth like sunshine. For me, the scent of cedarwood is like childhood memories, treasured keepsakes. This reflects the deep emotion we attach to roses.
The woman who wears this scent...
...is loyal, caring and optimistic. She keeps mementos, perhaps she writes a journal. She can be very nostalgic but she definitely lives in the 'now'; she is adventurous and curious and loves making new memories. She treasures even the smallest moments in life.
